10/14/23-10/15/23—New Hampshire (again)

Left Maine and made my way back to New Hampshire.

The whole trip I had one specific scene in my mind. I described the scene on the phone to my girlfriend the week prior. And somewhere around the border of ME and NH (not totally sure which state I was in), that scene came to life. I was driving, on the way back to New Hampshire after an awesome couple of days in Maine when I passed a random pull off on the side of the road. I kept on driving at first, but I quickly felt an overwhelming need to go back and check out what was at the pull off. I slammed on the brakes and pulled a u-turn as soon as I safely could. I made it back to the spot, followed a little path into the woods, which then led to a bridge, which then led to this awesome view. My girlfriend can vouch for me, this was exactly what I had described to her the week before. Train tracks from an elevated area, surrounded by trees with a mountain peeking out in the background. The stoke was high when I got to the apex of that bridge.

The rest of my time in New Hampshire was alright. The rain and the cold temperatures were relentless, so I didn’t get to do as much as I would have liked to. I would really love to go back in the summer, and I just might have to in order to explore all of this underrated state’s beauty.
