10/5/20—Elijah
Wow all these portraits have been kicking my butt lately. I took a much needed day of free shooting and exploring to refresh. I drove out to Elijah boat launch on the Kinzua Dam. It is a very popular spot during summer months in Warren, mainly because the huge jumping rock named…you guessed it, Elijah.
The water at the dam is the lowest I have ever seen it. Standing at the shoreline was about 20 feet below the typical level of the water. It was pretty insane seeing how different the area looks from 20 feet lower. Everything seemed bigger and more vast than it normally does.
I am very thankful to live in this area and experience its beauty every day, especially during this time of year. No matter where I end up, this place will always be home.
