4/18/21—Laurie Took a Dive

Fishing again.

Typing this story would not do it justice, so I’ll keep it short; my mom fell in for the first time. While my dad was still rigging things up for himself at the truck, her and I were being complete idiots in the water. We got snagged multiple times, broke off, and—the cherry on top—my mom went for a swim.

She got back up though, took off her waders, dumped the water out of them, rang out her socks, and got right back to it. She wasn’t leaving until she caught a fish. And don’t worry, she did.
