7/26/20—Golden Hour/Sunset
Set out to take some portraits with some friends at golden hour…man was it a success! Two shooters, two models. Cara (@capturelifewithcara) and myself behind the cameras. Gracie (@gt.wood) and Alanna (@ahultberg4) in front. We met up for a little pre-shoot ice cream while we waited for the sun to drop towards the horizon of the northwestern Pennsylvania hills. When it finally did, it was perfect. After many incredible photos were taken, the sun began to disappear, leaving behind one of the prettiest sunsets I have ever seen. I’m a sucker for a nice gradient sky. We sat around and chatted about life, listened to some music, and had a screaming contest—the usual. Lol. I’m also a sucker for some sick silhouette shots, so you already know I had to grab some of them. Anyways, I really love these photos. Not necessarily even the portraits. I mean, they’re cool and all, and my friends are such pro models, but I really love the shots of them just sitting around with the sunset. Just existing. Those images just give me a feeling of pure nostalgia. That feeling will never go away, and that is why I love photography.
