8/22/21—Washington Day 1
Here it is folks. The re-reunion you’ve all been waiting for.
If you keep up with these things, you would know that my good old pal and longtime adventure buddy, Cara (@capturelifewithcara), came back to Pennsylvania in the spring to visit from her current home in Washington. Ever since she moved out there, she has joked that her couch is always open for me to stay on. Well at the beginning of August she texted me saying she has a week off at the end of the month. It just so happened that I didn’t have any shoots scheduled that week. Next thing I knew, I had a plane ticket to Washington.
I eagerly survived the next couple weeks leading up to the trip. My day to travel west had finally come. And let me tell ya, that was THE MOST stressful day of my life. However, after multiple delays, a missed flight, sketchy taxi rides, near fist fights, and 4 hours of sleep during a night stranded alone in Chicago, I finally made it to Washington.
I think that the photos from this whole trip speak for themselves and tell their own story. I don’t feel too compelled to try to explain every moment and every story behind the images. That being said, the blog posts for this adventure won’t be too detailed. I’ll keep those moments strictly for Cara and I. Besides, a bunch of words on a screen wouldn’t do justice in relaying the memories from this trip anyways.
