8/26/21—Washington Day 5

Last and final full day of this incredible journey.

Woke up in the parking lot of the trailhead facing Mount Rainier. Then made some insane blueberry pancakes for breakfast.

After breakfast, we did another little hike down to a lake in the valley of the surrounding peaks. Then stopped at a section of the White River. Good way to start the day.

The remainder of the day was spent exploring where Cara lives. Her favorite little spots and such. I even got a tour of the boat she works on, which was pretty sick.

It was sad to leave Cara, but I feel so fortunate to have gotten to go on this massive adventure with her. Cara—I know you’re reading this—thank you for the experience of a lifetime. I will remember it forever. I look forward to the next one, dude.
