7/20/21—ADK Day 3

Day 3 of exploring the Adirondacks. The weather called for rain in the afternoon, so we figured we could fit in a little hike in the morning.

We chose one of the moderately high peaks in the area and made the drive to the trailhead. The hike started fine, then it start to get steeper, and steeper, until we were completely scrambling. The ratio of distance traveled to elevation gained was absurd. We made it to the summit just as the morning clouds were giving way to the sun. We opted to take the less gnarly trail back down…wise choice.

After that we got something to eat and then hiked to the most beautiful waterfall I’ve ever seen. I didn’t photograph it, just wanted to see it and live it for myself.
