3/27/21—Chasing Rainbows
After throwing some big flies earlier in the week, my dad and I switched it up and rigged up our nymphing gear for a nice Saturday of fishing. The stream we went to was absolutely packed since it’s one of the only waterways open year round. We couldn’t wait the extra week until the PA trout opener…and apparently lots of anglers were just as anxious as us.
The amount of people didn't seem to affect the fishing much though. We consistently got bites all day. Not only that, but I FINALLY got to take photos of some fish. I was cursed all the other times I brought my camera along because we wouldn’t catch anything. Then when I didn’t bring my camera, of course we would catch something. Luckily this day all the pieces fell into place. I got to take some photos that I am very happy with, and I caught the biggest fish of the day lol.
